The University of Melbourne offers Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Masters by Research degrees. As members of one of Australia's largest research institutions, graduate researchers at Melbourne are working on projects spanning a huge range of fields. The University is made up of 16 discipline-specific Faculties and Graduate Schools which embrace over 120 research centres. The University is also affiliated with many research institutes and hospitals, putting it at the heart of biomedical research efforts in Melbourne and Australia.

The University of Melbourne and CSC scholarships
For 2012 awards, the University of Melbourne wll waive the tuition fees for at least 20 China Scholarship Council (CSC) award holders. In addition to studying at the University free of tuition fees, CSC award holders are eligible to apply for further financial support (such as funds to support relocation) to a maximum of AU$25,000 per year.
