This session is aimed at newly-enrolled graduate students beginning their research journey (i.e., Research Masters & PhD candidates) and Early Career Researchers new to the University of Melbourne.

This interactive workshop will give students an overview of resources at the University of Melbourne Library – from search engines and special collections, to personalised consultations – and help them find research databases in their particular discipline.

The session will provide an introduction to structuring successful search strategies and demonstrate the use of major citation databases, plus tips for keeping literature searches up-to-date.

This workshop is a must for all new graduate research candidates and ECRs. Supervisors are strongly encouraged to advise their students to attend. These sessions are offered monthly throughout the year in both face-to-face and webinar (online) formats.
