EMBL Australia Postgraduate Symposium 2021

*A limited number of early-bird registrations to this year's EMBL Australia Postgraduate Symposium (EAPS 2021, 10-12 November) are now available*

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) Australia life sciences network supports ambitious research projects and provides training to early-career Australian scientists. Every year, EMBL-networked postgraduate students organise a symposium that gives Honours, Masters and PhD students the opportunity to present their research and establish relationships for future collaborations.

EAPS 2021 will be virtual/ in-person: with the first two days fully virtual, and a final day of in-person attendance. Virtual attendance on the final day is optional. Four cities will host this final day: Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

This final day will also feature a 2-hour workshop on science communication, presented by experts Dr Anna-Sophie Jurgens and Dr Will J Grant from The Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science.

In this year's symposium we are hoping to learn how looking to our past can prepare us for the challenges of our rapidly changing world. This is reflected in our symposium theme, "On Giants' Shoulders: Adapting to an Ever-Changing World". We invite postgraduates to present in the following research themes: Computational Biology, Cancer, Ecology & Biodiversity, Infection & Immunity, Molecular Biology and Regenerative Biology.

More details on precise venues and speakers will be announced soon and these details will be available on the EAPS website accessible via the 'Book Now' button.
