Creating research impact and getting people excited about your research and data doesn’t always happen when you send them an academic paper or article to read. How can you quickly summarise your research in a way that will grab the attention of your target audience as well as making it easy to understand and remember? Infographics and visualisations, that’s how.
This workshop, conducted by Alana Pirrone from the Centre for Health Equity, will explore ways to turn research results into interesting and easy to understand visuals. You will learn what constitutes an effective visualisation and infographic, how to make a Research Summary Infographic, and produce design elements to help translate your data.
No design experience required. Please bring your laptop and an example of your research along. This session is relevant to all University of Melbourne researchers.
